A door slams and the fire alarm goes off. And we're not really concerned since this has happened before. Jenny opens the door and discovers the hallways is full of smoke...
Okaay. Then we start getting ready to evacuate.
Brush my hair, change, go to the bathroom, put on contacts, grab a sweatshirt and scarf, and take my purse, cell phone, and computer. Then I head downstairs. (notice the lack of anxiety or urgency. haha)

So....we evacuated my building because someone decided that pouring hot coals down the trash shoot and starting a fire was a great New Year's Day morning activity.

side note- i was disappointed. the firemen weren't that cute. the last time i saw firemen they were totally hot.

my first time in ny =)
through a series of unforseen series of events i ended up traveling alone, but i stayed with my college roommate, tina! yay!

so at first my flight was delayed, i and 20 other people almost missed the connecting flight through sfo to ny...but they held the flight and we all went running down the terminal...haha

arrived wed morning:
got picked up by tina, and then took a nap,
taking the subway and bus myself (with great directions) i went to the MET, i didnt even see everything, but it was fun seeing all the art and it's textures. dinner at a yummy italian pizza place (procuitto, arugala pizza)

empire state building
shopping =)

juniors for soup and dessert
phantom of the opera

friday:
lunch at Union Square Cafe- oh soo delicious, and our waiter totally hooked us up
marscapone polenta with gorgenzola and nuts, rabbit noodle dish, beef carpaccio, calamari...hmmm yumm...
more shopping
dinner at japanese place where you make your own cotton candy dessert
italian cannoli, strawberry monfoglie
mexican hot chocolate with lots of wonderful ppl

saturday:
new york bagels- yum
soho
chinatown
yummy malasian food
belgium fries with dipping sauces
black sesame creme brulee and assam tea...hmmmm
